Warm up with sizzling dishes and toasty tipples from Garden Kitchen & Bar

If the influx of puffer jacket and UGG Boot sightings wasn’t a clear enough sign, we’ve got some news for you – winter has well and truly arrived! So you can stay toasty-warm without confining yourself to the room in your house with the reverse-cycle air conditioner, Broadbeach favourite Garden Kitchen & Bar is turning up the heat, both in its dining area and on the menu. Here’s a taste of all of the winter-warming dishes you can stick a fork into …

Put on your boots, your best winter jacket and head to The Star Gold Coast this June, where you can lap up luscious eats and libations at Garden Kitchen & Bar. You and your crew can perch amongst an abundance of cascading greenery, as you prepare to indulge in the venue’s fresh seasonal menu. Make choosing easy with Garden Kitchen & Bar’s special winter three-course meal, which is sure to sate your grumbling tummy for only $65. Start off with a belly-warming parsnip-and-leek soup with flaked smoked salmon, herb oil and toasted sourdough. Then comes the main affair – slow-cooked beef cheeks with fried garlic chats, broccolini, roasted baby carrots, gremolata crumb, and red wine jus. Finish off the flavour-packed feast with sticky date pudding with pineapple, caramel and vanilla ice-cream. Pair your three-course meal with some red wine and that’s what we call a good time.

If you want to tempt your taste buds further, there’s plenty more gracing the winter menu, some with a Canadian twist. Lick your lips in anticipation for the lamb chops with Canadian Club Whisky gravy, the baked oysters with smoked Canadian Club Whisky butter and bacon and the baked brie with Canadian Club Whisky honey and toasted pecans with warm toast. Don’t be afraid of the dropping temperature and head outside to The Lawn, where a number of heaters, a cocktail-slinging bar and live entertainment awaits. Drop by on Friday and Saturday nights for DJs on the decks – check out the weekly entertainment line-up here or browse the venue’s upcoming headliners here. The combination of delicious drinks, tasty fare and fired-up entertainment is sure to warm you up this winter.
