We like candy – FUNDAY Natural Sweets packs a punch without the sugar rush

As much as we are sweet tooths here at The Weekend Edition, whenever there is an opportunity to lower our sugar intake without compromising on taste, we’ll take it. However, sugar-free sweets that don’t skimp on flavour are hard to come by – until now. FUNDAY Natural Sweets is the new natural confectionery on the block, and is better for you than snacking on a supermarket alternative that may leave you with a funny tummy.

Our appetites for sweet treats are changing, with many lolly addicts opting for a new wave of confectionery affectionally called ‘clean candy’. This, and a desire to become healthier, was the driving force behind FUNDAY Natural Sweets’ founder Daniel Kitay starting a candy company. Now, he’s the creator of what is described as a ‘healthy lolly’ – one that has zero added sugar and no sugar alcohols (the stuff that often warns “excess consumption may have a laxative effect”, and we’re sure you’ve heard the stories). FUNDAY Natural Sweets are also packed with seven grams of prebiotic plant-based fibre per bag, contain only natural colours and flavours, are gluten free and only available in snack-sized portions meaning there’s no willpower necessary – unless you happen to be in arm’s reach of a second bag.

Found in Chemist Warehouse nationally, select health food stores and online, FUNDAY Natural Sweets currently has a short – but sweet – range of lollies. You can munch on sour or fruity vegan gummy bears, raspberry gummy frogs and even a childhood favourite, sour peach hearts. FUNDAY has also recently launched a lolly lovers subscription program, which is a convenient set-and-forget service offering confectionery-obsessed customers the ability to have lollies delivered to their door each month at a discount price. Now, that’s what we call a sweet deal. For more info, pop over to the FUNDAY Natural Sweets website.
