Sample the Scenic Rim’s finest at Eat Local Book Launch & Lunch
Just outside of the Gold Coast exists a veritable food bowl of amazing, local produce from milk and gourmet cheese to fruit and vegetables and even wine. Eat Local Book Launch & Lunch invites you to sample some of the region’s finest with authors and fellow foodies Brenda Fawdon and Christine Sharp. The special culinary event is on at QT Gold Coast on Friday June 10.
Whether you’re an avid lover of food or you just like to support farmers and growers, the Eat Local Book Launch & Lunch event is definitely one for the calendar. Join author, chef, food teacher and presenter Brenda Fawdon alongside photographer, editor and book designer Christine Sharp for an afternoon of fabulous canapes and company in the stunning surrounds of QT Gold Coast’s rooftop garden before indulging in a plentiful feast downstairs at Bazaar restaurant. The canapes have been expertly crafted by Brenda and QT’s Executive Chef Greg Benney to showcase local and seasonal foodstuffs.
The one-off gastronomic event is to celebrate the launch of the pair’s book, Eat Local: Food, Farming and Conversation in the Scenic Rim. Part cookbook part conversation series, the book features sixty wholesome everyday recipes as well as candid chats with the farmers, growers and makers. Eat Local: Food, Farming and Conversation in the Scenic Rim is a beautiful addition to any cookbook catalogue but is equally at home on the coffee table. Tickets to the Eat Local Book Launch & Lunch are $99 including beverages.
