Doughnut bar D Point Ten brings its sweet rounds of goodness to Varsity Lakes

Since opening its first bricks-and-mortar location in Chirn Park in early 2018, dedicated doughnut shop D Point Ten (which originally started as a wholesale outfit back in 2016) has earned a cult-like following from sugar fiends and keen doughnut devotees. It has been a sweet couple of years for D Point Ten’s owners, doughnut wizards Henry Kim and Dean Jeong, who just last week opened the doors to the humble doughnut bar’s fifth Gold Coast location.

Varsity Lakes locals, your time has come – D Point Ten is now officially in your hood. Located along Varsity Parade (next to the Pita Pit), the newest iteration of D Point Ten gives doughnut lovers the option to grab and go, or sit down with a Social Espresso coffee and enjoy a moment alone with their favourite deep-fried round of goodness. Each day (yes, you can get these bad boys seven days a week) the cabinet is lined with a multitude of eye-popping, decadent doughnuts in a variety of flavours. Just like its locations in Chirn Park, Coomera, Pacific Fair and Broadbeach, everything you see at the Varsity Lakes doughnut bar is made fresh daily, from scratch and all by hand.

If you’re a stickler for tradition, the OG cinnamon or vanilla-glazed doughnuts are your go-tos. Though, if you prefer your doughnuts loaded with a little extra jazz, then get around flavours like creme brulee, Ferrero Rocher, chocolate-cream-infused Tim Tam, caramel-injected Gaytime, frosted red velvet, the bite-sized bots or the custard-filled and Nutella-laced doughnuts. Though, for the next little while the star of the show is the limited-edition Caramilk doughnut, which is covered in a Caramilk glaze and finished with white-chocolate shavings and pieces of Caramilk. Note, these ones in particular are highly addictive. You’ve been warned.
