Is there any greater pleasure than sitting down after a long day and relaxing with a wine in hand and some gourmet, dark chocolate in the other? If there is, Peter Mengler, the man and chocolatier behind local company Cravve, hasn’t found it yet.

It is very likely that Peter loves chocolate more than the average person. He spends his days creating a mouth-watering array of chocolate products including organic dark chocolate that is 75% cocoa, drinking chocolate and frappe sauces. Cravve chocolates are not your standard supermarket variety, rather, it is hand crafted from the finest cocoa beans harvested by their own network of growers, sun dried, roasted and ground on black granite stone to produce chocolate of exquisite flavour, aroma and texture.

Cravve works with and supports cacao bean farmers from Australia where possible but also our island neighbours from Samoa, Fiji and Vanuatu among others. Much like a fine wine, cacao beans from different regions boast slightly different flavour profiles. Cravve nurtures these variances to produce a product that is unlike any other chocolate you’ve tasted before. You can find Cravve’s chocolate on the menu at JåMm dining and bar in Broadbeach and for sale by the block at Flannerys and Espresso Moto in Palm Beach.
