Decadent dessert den Cowch makes a mooove to Broadbeach
Right about now, you’re probably suffering from some pretty serious post-Easter sugar cravings. Well, fellow sweet fiends, we have some good news and some not-so-good news. Since we’re all about positive media, we’ll give you the good news first – Cowch Dessert Cocktail Bar has announced its opening a sizeable new restaurant on Oracle Boulevard in Broadbeach. The not-so-good news is that we have to wait a little bit longer to plunge a crisp, baked churro into a pot of pure melted bliss as the new dessert den isn’t set to open until June.
If you’re not familiar with Cowch Dessert Cocktail Bar’s very specific brand of food hedonism, allow us … Pillowy pancakes layered thick with crushed Tim Tams, Oreos, ice-cream and lashings of melted milk chocolate, seriously saucy sundaes, crunchy s’mores pizzas topped with Corn Flakes, crumble and marshmallows, and of course, the ever-popular Naked Pops, which makes you the master of your own dessert destiny. Wash it down with a Nutella-rimmed espresso martini or a Cotton Candy cocktail of musk vodka, black-raspberry liqueur, lemon and cranberry served with a pink sherbet rim, musk sticks and raspberry fairy floss, and you have yourself a sugar-high of the best kind. Cowch is essentially Disneyland for gluttonous feasts where you can consume an entire day’s worth of kilojoules in one sitting with no regrets, okay, maybe some small regrets but you can guarantee you will do the exact same thing again next time you visit – and there will definitely be a next time.Having made the move from Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, the new digs will be located opposite Social Eating House + Bar and boast a pretty impressive 26 metre frontage. Diners can expect a vibrant and interactive environment to relax and indulge, with the Oracle Boulevard site offering more banquette seats and couches to cater for larger groups. We’ll have all of the delicious details for you when it opens so watch this space. Until then, drool over Cowch’s Instagram here.
