Treat yo’self (every day) with Chocolate Month at The Star Gold Coast
Easter is just around the corner, which means it’s time to prepare yourself for the sweetest, most delicious time of year. While we’re all for losing our inhibitions on Easter Sunday morning with copious amounts of chocolate eggs, the foodie folk at The Star Gold Coast have other plans for you – an entire month of chocolate.
You’re lucky you’ve got a whole month to work your way through this chocolate smorgasbord, because every foodie venue in The Star is on board for this one. You can drink it, lick it, munch and crunch it, with a whole swag decadent delights from chocolate cocktails to mind-blowing desserts that are sure to knock your sweet little socks off. We know this is a lot to take in – so just settle down for moment and we’ll tell you what you need to know. Italian restaurant Cucina Vivo is spinning out the goodness with the Cioccolato Rosso Ferrari, which is basically a Ferrari-red chocolate sphere with pistachio crostata, stracciatella ic- cream and grappa-infused chocolate sauce. Italian’s do chocolate well, so make sure you leave room for the next-level chocolate dessert platter, which includes a millefogli (an Italian version of the French mille-feuille pastry) plus an Italian zuccotto (a chocolate ricotta dome cake).
If you prefer to drink your chocolate, you’ll find chocolate ‘freak shakes’ at M&G Cafe and Bar and a chocolate jaffa cocktail at The Atrium. For lovers of all shades of chocolate, then get your sweet self to Garden Kitchen & Bar to try out the Shades of Chocolate dessert, featuring a single-origin dark couverture pavé, caramelised white chocolate mousse, and creamy milk chocolate cremeux. The delights keep coming at Kiyomi with its Goma Street Dessert, with tempered dark chocolate, caramelised white chocolate mousse and black sesame ice-cream.
