Enjoy a taste of Burleigh Barrels’ award-winning brews at home with its brand-new takeaway menu

There’s something about sipping from the source that just hits different. The closer the better, in our humble opinion. If you’ve enjoyed tasting your way through Burleigh Barrels’ stable of six core brews from its beachside brewhouse, we have some pretty exciting news – the legends at Burleigh Barrels have gone and made all of our Christmas wishes come true and have packaged their entire range of award-winning craft beers in tins to takeaway – hooray! Fans of the venue’s succulent smoked meat, juicy chicken wings, stacked burgers and American-style sides will also be pleased to know that the mouth-watering eats are also available to-go. Here’s everything you need to know…

Whether you’re scouting a pup-friendly beer garden, laid-back brewery or the perfect place to grab some quality takeaway for your picnic on Burleigh Hill, Burleigh Barrels has you covered on all fronts. After opening in May 2022, this sip-from-the-source hotspot has recently expanded to offer a drool-inducing takeaway menu – perfect for those that are catering for a gathering with friends or would simply like to indulge in some craft brews and smoked meats without scaring fellow patrons with the excessive amount of sauce that inevitably ends up on your face. Each of the venue’s six core beers are now available to takeaway, including the brand-new Summer Sour Series, which sees one new sour beer released each week for 12 weeks. The first of the frothies to tantalise taste buds is a Cosmopolitan-flavoured creation followed by a mango-infused sip and a zesty Key Lime Pie concoction. Keep your peepers peeled for Pina Colada (December 12), Apricot (December 19), Fairy Floss (January 2) and Margarita (January 9) – it’s like an advent calendar that keeps on giving! Still not convinced? Five out of six Burleigh Barrels beers won awards at the 2022 Independent Beer Awards known fondly as Indies 2022, so they’re kind of a big deal.

Round out your Burleigh Barrels take-home experience with a selection from the mouth-watering menu that is loaded with culinary gifts including ten-hour slow-cooked beef brisket with bourbon barbeque sauce or a perfect-to-share succulent pulled pork platter. Save yourself the hassle of choosing by opting for the beef brisket and jalapeno-cheddar-pork-sausage board, or go all out and grab the house-specialty brisket, pork and ribs board, overflowing with 125-grams of smoked beef brisket, a half-rack of sticky barbeque ribs and 150-grams of smoked pulled pork. All of these dishes come with your choice of two sides, like American-style slaw, creamy potato salad, Texas baked beans, Southern-style cheese cornbread or beer-battered fries. We’ve got the meat sweats just thinking about it. If smoked meat isn’t your vibe, you can satiate those hunger pangs with a range of bar snacks, saucy wings, burgers and hand-rolled crusty-based pizzas.  Less than a 20-minute walk from Burleigh Hill’s prime picnic pozzies and sheltered from the hectic crowds of James Street, we wouldn’t blame you for making Burleigh Barrels your new go-to place for takeaway.

Hungry for more? Burleigh Barrels is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 11:30 am until late, servicing all of your dine-in and takeaway smoked-meat fantasies.
