Boom Boom Burgers food truck hits the road

Rather than taking on another lease and coaxing burger lovers to them, the owners of Boom Boom Burgers on Chevron Island had an epiphany and thought, what if we took our burgers to them? And just like that the Boom Boom Burgers food truck was born.

Boldly proclaiming to be the best hamburgers you’ll ever try, Boom Boom Burgers talks big but luckily, it’s got the goods to back it up. The mobile eatery is the latest venture from Michelin-starred chef Meyjitte Boughenout, former owner of Absynthe French Restaurant, and Arnaud Ollivier and is basically a scaled-down version of its popular Chevron Island restaurant with the same exceptional quality burgers that fans have come to know and love. The menu offers a selection of the venue’s most popular eats including the My Phat Greek, which is loaded with Mediterranean spiced lamb, rocket, haloumi and slathered with rich, creamy tzatziki, and the spicy Mumbai Chicken with Tandoori chicken, grilled eggplant, spiced yoghurt, coriander and lettuce however it’s the venue’s specialty burger, the Smoking Cow, that will really set tongues wagging. The signature burger has presented some logistical challenges for the chefs given it normally arrives at your table under a dome of billowing vapour however Meyjitte is confident they’ll find a way to recreate the restaurant experience in the food truck in coming weeks. Side your burg’ with some crispy chips, because let’s be honest, everything is better with chips.

Whilst modest in appearance, the taste is anything but with quality ingredients including organic grain-fed beef and locally sourced produce. Boom Boom Burgers food truck will cruise between the Gold Coast and Brisbane so keep an eye out at Ducati in Nerang, Sunshine Ford and Clark Rubber in Southport, Witches Falls winery on Tamborine Mountain and Green Beacon Brewing Co. in Newstead in Brisbane. Or you could always drop in to Boom Boom Burgers on Chevron Island for the true restaurant experience.
