Bobbed Burgers pops up in Palm Beach
Every Friday and Saturday night from 6:00 pm, Espresso Moto, on the Gold Coast highway in Palm Beach, transforms into the Gold Coast’s newest burger bar under the moniker Bobbed Burgers.
Just reading through the new Bobbed Burgers menu is enough to make your mouth water in anticipation of the masterpiece that is sure to follow. The first delectable selection contains mustard-scented ground beef smothered with melted tasty cheese and house-made tomato relish resting atop a base of crunchy lettuce, tomato and dill pickles in between a lightly toasted brioche bun. Allow your wanting eyes to peruse the rest of the selections that all sound equally as appetising before settling on the house-favourite, the Bobbed Lamb Sandwich. For non-meat eating friends, there is a Vege Burger that is made with Moroccan spiced chickpea and sweet corn hash with zesty coleslaw, house-made relish on a lightly toasted focaccia bun. It’s so tasty it has been known to sway even the most fervent carnivores.
The burgers are piled high with delicious, fresh ingredients that are prepared by Chef Glen to offer traditional burger flavours with a gourmet twist. If you’re really famished, you can double down on any burger or sandwich for just $5.00, but be warned, that’s not for the faint-hearted as these burgers are already fairly hefty. Bobbed Burgers is BYO beer and wine so bring along a few cold ones to wash it all down. Bobbed Burgers takes over the grill at the Gold Coast’s first motorbike cafe, Espresso Moto, every Friday and Saturday night from 6:00–9:00 pm.
