Betty’s Burgers & Concrete Co. opens in Surfers Paradise
Noosa’s much-loved burger institution, Betty’s Burgers & Concrete Co., has opened at Chevron Renaissance in Surfers Paradise. The casual eatery offers the cool retro vibes of a classic burger shack with top-notch nosh.
Sink your teeth into the delightfully crispy chicken burger and relish the satisfying crunch between bites of cloud-like brioche bun or stick with the classic, which is about as pure and simple as a burger can be; hand-rolled Angus beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese and Betty’s special sauce. If you’re keen to keep the carbs to a minimum, opt for the Bare Betty; all of the deliciousness sans the bun. Don’t be misled by the venue’s relaxed appearance, Betty’s Burgers & Concrete Co. is not your average burger joint. Everything is made fresh without preservatives or additives so you only get the real deal. Round out your feast with a side of onion rings or lightly salted French fries but be sure to leave room for one of the venue’s signature Concretes; an impossibly creamy frozen custard that is loaded with your choice of topping. The Betty’s Baked Apple Pie is a popular choice but it’s the banana peanut butter cup that really has tastebuds in a tizzy.
The beach chic venue is a nod to the owner David Hales’ late grandmother Betty Anderson, who was known for throwing together a mean burger back in her day. Judging by the satisfied smile strewn across diners’ faces as they’re leaving the establishment, we’re pretty sure she would approve of the latest venue in her honour.
