A stone’s throw away from Coolangatta beach, Beach Burrito Company’s new opening at the newly renovated The Strand, is bound to be popular with the surfing set, serving burritos, nachos and tacos loaded with the fresh flavours of Californian-style Mexican food. The opening menu includes the famous jalapeno poppers (battered jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese, served with smoky salsa and sour cream), the slow-roasted pibil pork taco, the classic barbecue chilli fries and secret recipe sangria to wash it all down. The Coolangatta outlet, the 13th restaurant nationally and the third in Queensland, is customised to the local environment.
