A taste of Tassie – Banjo’s Bakery is set to open a drive-thru on the northern Gold Coast

Carb lovers, get ready to loosen your belt buckle – Tasmania’s iconic Banjo’s Bakery is set to open its first Gold Coast location in a matter of weeks. Best of all, it’s a drive-thru! Here’s everything we know so far …

Known for its legendary pies and baked treats, Banjo’s has been a staple in Tasmania for over 30 years. These days, it’s a national powerhouse, expanding to more than 40 stores nationwide. The brand-new Gold Coast outpost will be located at Helensvale and will offer all of Banjo’s favourites, from its famed Tasmanian scallop pie and double-cheeseburger pie to custard scrolls, danishes and its range of fresh breads – all without having to leave your car.

Franchisees Anthony and Donna Bosworth are excited to bring Banjo’s to the Gold Coast and aim to make the Helensvale bakery a community hub. Open from 4:00 am daily, Banjo’s Helensvale will offer both drive-thru convenience and dine-in options. As you grab your morning coffee and egg-and-bacon roll, you’ll even watch the bakers at work, crafting fresh pastries, cakes and pies. Banjo’s Bakery is about to make your daily coffee run easier – and a whole lot tastier.

Banjo’s Helensvale is targeting an October 2 opening. As always, we’ll bring you all of the delicious details as they come to light.
