Tweed Heads patisserie Baked teams up with Husk Distillers to launch a series of booze-spiked croissants
It’s been a whole year since Tweed Heads patisserie Baked first opened its doors and delighted us with its sugar-coated goodness, sourdough breads and flaky pastries. To celebrate its first birthday, the waterfront bakery is teaming up with Tumbulgum’s Husk Distillery to release a decadent series of booze-filled croissants, aptly named the Croissants of Summer range.
If you’re a croissant connoisseur and love a cheeky tipple, then consider this your ultimate summer treat. This limited-edition, all-local boozy collab sees a selection of Husk Distiller’s most popular drops (pure-cane rum, gin and spiced rum) infused into a series of next-level ‘loaded’ croissants created by the talented team at Baked – and they are arriving just in time for the silly season.
There’s a pina colada croissant doused with Husk Pure Cane Rum, while another is laced with Bam Bam Spiced Rum and fresh orange for the ultimate rum-laced affair. Husk’s famed Ink Gin is also featured in the Croissants of Summer range, infused into a flaky croissant with hints of elderflower and topped with torched meringue. Though, it’s not all sweet – there’s also a fried-chicken croissant burger in the series (utilising local brewery Stone & Wood for its beer batter) for those that like to celebrate with savouries.
The booze-soaked Croissants of Summer series will be available to order online from Monday December 9, with limited quantities available in store at Baked across the festive season.
