Winner Winner Chicken Dinner at Pipit

Voted Australia’s Best Regional Restaurant in 2020, Pipit in Pottsville is no stranger to damn good food. Inspired by the bounty of fresh produce coming out of the Northern Rivers and a passion for wood-fired cooking, Pipit has become a regular eating haunt for Gold Coast locals seeking out prime dining delight. Throughout August, the talented team at Pipit have invited Gold Coast and Brisbane locals down for a range of tasty pop-up events that feature guest chefs and hyper-local menus.

The first pop-up event that will see chefs Jay Elbrihi and Sam Barlett Roylance show off their culinary flair is the Winner Winner Chicken Dinner hosted on Thursday August 18, from 6:00 pm. This seven-course set menu is centred around the idea that “what grows together, goes together” with a hyper-local, hyper-seasonal and low-waste focus. As the name suggests, each of the courses champions chicken in one way or another and includes stuffed chicken wings with sticky rice and green garlic, chicken skin mille-feuille with liver parfait and native raspberry, chicken chawanmushi with wasabi mustard and cured yolk, a lavishing chicken main that features breast confit in chicken fat with heart skewers and blood sausage, and a semifreddo and sweet chicken skin crumb drumstick for desert. Tickets to this clucking-good time can be purchased online for $160.
