To celebrate its reopening after a massive 2.3-million renovation, Mudgeeraba’s Wallaby Hotel is putting on a party! It all kicks off on Saturday November 28, when locals can enjoy free rissole snags from 1:00 pm. The celebrations get bigger and better from there, with barbecue bites and ice-cold bevvies being served all afternoon from the XXXX Gold keg. 

For those who like a bit of friendly competition, there will also be the inaugural Wallaby Hotel Bloke or Sheila of the Year Awards from 3:00-5:00 pm. Contestants will battle it out with true-blue Aussie games like air-guitar competitions to thong toss battles and meat pie eating championships. Upping the ante is a bounty of live music acts from 5:00 pm, including the Angels, Oils and Divinyls tribute band.

The weekend festivities continue with Wallaby Hotel’s Family Funday on Sunday November 29. Grown-ups and their little ones can gather in the new play area to enjoy a magic show, face painting, free popcorn and fairy floss. To stop those tummies from rumbling, there will be $7 kids meals all day and for the music lovers, live tunes will be filling the pub from 2:00 pm.
