Whilst snuggling up and hibernating until the mercury rises a few degrees is mighty tempting at this time of year, Varsity Winterfest is giving you plenty of motivation to rug up and join in the fun on August 4. This year, the jam-packed program is broken into three parts, Varsity Active, Varsity Street Fest and Symphony by the Lake. The active part of the program kicks off from 12:00–3:00 pm and is all about getting the blood pumping with lots fun-filled active and healthy events for all ages at the ‘Lake Street Outdoor Gym’. Hosted by Chris Barnes (Jetts Fitness) and Dan Keegan (Temple Gym), there will be a ‘KIDS NINJA’ course and lots of other activities designed to get your heart started, and to entertain the kids.

From 3:00 pm, you’re invited to mosey on down for Varsity Street Fest. An event the whole family can enjoy, the festival will encompass street art, singing, dancing, food, jumping castles, loads of kids activities and much more. At 4:00 pm Emma Lancaster and her band LUMINOSITY will treat audiences to a free live set before it’s time to move on to the lake ready for Winterfest Part III.

At 6:00 pm catch the magnificent Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra, followed by a fireworks display and family friendly celebrations at 7:30 pm.

Varsity Winterfest is a completely free event, which will bring Varsity Lakes alive with activities for all ages. Proudly presented by Varsity Lakes Community Limited, sponsored by Bendigo Bank Varsity Lakes and supported by Councillor Hermann Vorster Division 11 City of Gold Coast.
