Varsity Lakes, spring has sprung and it’s your time to shine! Sundays are about to get a whole lot tastier with the launch of Varsity Lakes Springtime Eats – a series of five gourmet food truck and live music events, which kicked off on Sunday September 3.
The series of free events (yes, free) will see a swag of local gourmet food trucks hit up the Varsity Lakes foreshore parklands on Varsity Parade throughout September and October. So, what goes best with food trucks? Live music! That’s right – every Sunday there will be a rotating line-up of local musicians performing live on the fairy light-draped stage, as well as plenty of fun activities for the kids. Pack the picnic blankets and cap off these glorious spring weekends the right way – with plenty of nosh and live beats at the sun goes down.The Varsity Lakes Springtime Eats series is a collaboration between The Design Collective and super-cool councillor Herman Vorster. The series kicks off this Sunday September 3 (perfect wrap up for Father’s Day, just saying) and continues on Sunday September 10 and the following Sunday September 17. The event will pop up again on Sunday October 8, before the final event on Sunday October 15.
