Turtles: Living Dinosaurs – Kids Education Fun!

Turtles: Living Dinosaurs – Kids Education Fun!

Here’s a fun fact, sea turtles are ancient mariners that have been roaming our planet for more than 100 million years. It’s true! They are also a regular visitor to our local marine and coastal environments. This Wednesday September 30, bring the kids along to Palm Beach Surf Club to learn more about their unique biology and behaviour and where you might spot them in South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
Ocean Connect will introduce the kids to a turtle shell from the 1600s and tell the fascinating story behind it. Kids will learn how to identify turtles, build a turtle nest to aid nest relocation and how they can get involved in sea turtle conservation in Australia or overseas.
