Embracing the unique beauty in us all, The Beauty Pageant is a spectacular project will see the Mudgeeraba Hall form the backdrop to a community focussed artistic event that celebrates our perceptions of beauty.

This project is for those who believe that beauty is more than skin deep. Artist Elizabeth Woods is interested in beautiful people from all walks of life. She is not in awe of the physically beautiful, but rather anyone who thinks beautiful thoughts, whom carries out beautiful gestures or is able to observe beauty in the most unexpected places.

The Beauty Pageant invites Gold Coasters to compete for the title of The Most Beautiful Person of Bleach* Festival 2017. The village of Mudgeeraba will host Elizabeth Woods as an Artist-In-Residence on her quest to find contestants who can convince a panel of esteemed judges that they are the most charming, sincere, astounding and provocative.

Beauty Pageant will be hosted by the sassy and soulful, jazz and cabaret performer Melissa Western.
