Somerset Storyfest presents Grom Tales – Under 8’s Programme

Somerset Storyfest presents Grom Tales …

Thursday May 20 | Ed Hardy Park, Miami

Join us as we partner with Baby Give Back, Coastal Babysitters and Village Roadshow Theme Parks to provide a day of opportunities for parents/guardians to engage with their children under eight years of age.

Participate in a Panel Session with Megan Daley, Nadia Sunde, Louise Park, hosted by our very own CEO/Festival Director Andrea Lewis, highlighting the relevance of introducing literacy to children from an early age through an open discussion and offer mechanisms for you to engage through storytelling in all its forms. Meanwhile, your kids are treated to Storytime with Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and complimentary babysitting.

Share a cupcake at morning tea with Shaun the Sheep and his sidekick Bitzer, before reuniting for high energy performances by local children’s author/entertainers Lucas Proudfoot and Nadia Sunde. This is an experience for children to interact with storytellers and for parents to observe the impact firsthand.

Tristan Bancks will drop by in the afternoon to share a chapter or two from his yet to be released “Ginger Meggs 100th Anniversary Book” with selected school groups.

This is a FREE event, but as numbers are limited, you must register to participate. Visit our website to see complete programme and secure your spot.
