The Gold Coast’s biggest short film festival is back as part of the Gold Coast Film Festival (GCFF) and Surfers Paradise Festival, with SIPFest (Shorts in Paradise)!
With most professional filmmakers beginning their career on the set of a short film, SIPFest provides an opportunity to identify and reward talented emerging filmmakers both locally and from around Australia.
This year SIPFest will move from Neal Shannon Park to the iconic Surfers Paradise Beach, which will deliver a unique outdoor film experience like no other on the Gold Coast.
The diverse mix of films that make up the GCFF SIPfest include thrillers, dramas, comedies, documentaries, animations, etc. with a panel of industry experts on site to judge the films and award over $2,000 in prizes to competing filmmakers. There is also a people’s choice award for the audience’s favourite film!
