Sew a Slip Dress Workshop at The Craft Parlour

Sew a Slip Dress Workshop at The Craft Parlour

Every gal needs a staple slip dress number in their wardrobe and on Wednesday September 18, you can learn to make your very own at The Craft Parlour’s Sew a Slip Dress Workshop! Wear it with shoulders bare and sun-kissed in the warmer months with a statement piece necklace, or when there is a bit of a chill to the air (ya know, the bit less than a balmy day we sporadically get in this paradise we live in), team it with a white baby-tee and connies. Making your own fashion is super sustainable, which is what The Craft Parlour is all about!

So, start your fabric shopping because Madeline Rawlings from The Essential Club is coming to the studio to guide you through a step-by-step DIY guide in making a minimal, elegant slip dress. You’ll come out the other end with a custom made garment that you can strut down the street and respond to compliments with a hair flick and a casual “Oh this lil number? I made it myself!”. Even better, you’ll get the pattern to go on creating more.

This class is totally fine for beginners too! It’s a pretty straight forward process that involves basic sewing knowledge (being able to sew a straight line) and going through it properly once. You will then gain the ability and confidence to whip up all the slip dresses you want!
