Seagulls Club in Tweed Heads is throwing a massive birthday bash on Saturday October 12 – and you’re invited! The annual birthday extravaganza marks an iconic 48 years for Seagulls, and the team are celebrating with a free community event featuring live music, family-friendly entertainment, tasty street food and all-ages fun across the afternoon. The festivities will kick off at 3:00 pm (NSW time), with live band JJ & The Radio Souls to set the scene and get your toes tapping with radio hits and a fun splash of soul, blues and Motown. You can enjoy a bite and a beer at LOT TWO or feast on delicious street-style Mexican eats from renowned local food truck Mamacitas. Keep an eye (and ear) out for the event’s MC, Nickleby the Magician, who will be roving throughout the event showcasing his mind-boggling magic tricks. For a gold coin donation, the kids will be kept entertained by talented face painters, jumping castles and magical ponies (be sure to arrive early as the ponies will depart at 6:00 pm!). Then, once the sun sets, look up! An impressive waterfront fireworks display will light up the skies at 7:30 pm (NSW time), marking another spectacular year for Seagulls!
