Sake Degustation at Kiyomi
Cutting-edge Japanese dining spot Kiyomi at The Star Gold Coast is inviting diners to explore the wonders of sake and develop a deeper appreciation of the traditional rice wine (or ‘nihonshu’ as it’s referred to in Japan) with its exclusive sake degustation menu, on offer across October and November. The degustation experience features a specially curated eight-course food journey that has been expertly paired with top-flight sake – it’s all designed by the Kiyomi team to open your eyes to the different styles and flavour profiles of sake, which are enhanced and distinguishable when paired properly with fine Japanese fare. You’ll start the experience with a clear, light-bodied sparkling Dewazakura sake matched with starters like natural oysters and ocean trout with wasabi salsa and yuzu soy, before moving onto the zesty Amanoto Junmai Ginjo sake, sipped while indulging in dishes like Kiyomi’s famed Crispy Rice Tuna. The Dewazakura Karesansui Tokubetsu 10-year Junmai also features in the degustation, paired with the wagyu beef cheek with artichoke and hatcho miso, and a delicate arrangement of the chef’s signature sushi. This is one dining experience not to be missed!
