Rubber Jellyfish Outdoor Movie Night at SWELL Sculpture Festival

Rubber Jellyfish Outdoor Movie Night at SWELL Sculpture Festival

For the first time, SWELL Sculpture Festival has partnered with the Gold Coast Film Festival to present a free outdoor screening of the local environmental documentary, Rubber Jellyfish. This feature-length documentary explores the effects of helium balloons on the environment, wildlife and human beings. Gold Coaster Carly Wilson sets out on a personal journey to meet key players on all sides of the fight to ban balloons and exposes the confronting truth behind our favourite party product.

Head over to Currumbin Beach, on the southern side of Elephant Rock and Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Club, to catch the film plus a Q&A with filmmaker Carly Wilson afterwards! Make sure you BYO blanket or chair, or you can even head down early to grab a comfy beanbag, and enjoy a movie night under the stars.
