Celebrate local hip-hop with Gratis Minds and Saint Lane

A HOTA Sunday session with powerful words and rhymes from some of 2020’s most exciting hip-hop artists.

With a beat that growls, Gratis Minds is comprised for wordsmiths and musicians Jon Doe and Jay Orient. Their laidback, beach-driven hip-hop comes is inspired by their hometown in Cabarita Beach, Northern NSW. Together they deliver a package of eclectic new era hip-hop, crafty production and eloquent rhythmic poetry.

Saint Lane is the music project of Gold Coast rapper and hip-hop artist Lane Muir. Having amassed more than 500,000 streams online and receiving rave reviews from New Zealand and Australia in 2019, Lane has extended his footprint to the live space, supporting Slum Sociable, Baker Boy, and taking the main stage at Ultra Music Festival Korea. Lane’s new single Hickeys was released in early 2020 and was immediately added to triple j rotation.
