Surfing Queensland is hosting an event called Pups on SUPS 2017 and we literally can’t even deal. In addition to bringing bucket-loads of cuteness your way with actual pups on actual SUPS (or stand-up paddle boards for the uninitiated), the event is designed to cater to the whole community and encourage a fun-filled day out with your furry best mate, friends and family. There will be a two-kilometre social paddle as well as a 250-metre dash for cash where entrants can score themselves and their pooch some sweet sweet moolah.

Radio station SEA FM will be banging out the tunes while Ezydog, Netshop and Vetlounge will all be offering some excellent prizes. Chris De Aboitiz of Supdogoz is a professional SUP dog trainer and will be there to teach all pooches how to safely get on their sup (also some tricks). Iron woman Courtney Hancock is also bringing her puppy down too.

For the non-canines, there will be caffeinated beverages and acai bowls so even if you’re not entering the race, you can come down and enjoy a fun-filled day by beautiful Currumbin Creek.
