The world premiere screening of Poetry + Video, a touring program of video poetry from Australia and beyond, will take place at The Garden Gallery, Murwillumbah.

Including some of the most highly regarded creators in the genre world-wide, this is a rare opportunity to see a kind of film-making rarely exhibited in Australia. An unmissable event for those interested in poetry and short film-making, or just curious about unique ways of putting together word, image and sound.

The program’s curator is southern Gold Coast film-maker, Marie Craven, internationally recognised for over 20 years as a director of film shorts and video poems. Poets Matt Hetherington (Murwillumbah) and Bronwen Manger (Brisbane) will perform live, with a Q & A session at the end of the evening.

After its Murwillumbah premiere, the program will be going on to screen in Kathmandu and the USA, among other venues in Australia and overseas into 2020.
