Pest Control Exhibition by Dusty Rich at The Pink Hotel Coolangatta
Dusty Rich may be better known for his insane and predictably unpredictable manic stage presence as a stand-up comedian but he sure knows how to swing a paintbrush and a spray-can around just as good as a microphone! Pest Control is a culmination of art Dusty has created since moving over to Australia from South Africa three years ago. The exhibition has a collection of works that range from a giant saturated canvas to surfboards all the way through to a massive 2-metre wood panel and aerosol cockroach.
The exhibition is taking place at The Pink Hotel Coolangatta, with plenty on over its four-day run. On Thursday November 7 at 8:00 pm, enjoy a stand-up comedy performance at Eddie’s Grub House. Kicking off from 10:00 am until late on Friday November 8, watch as Dusty paints a mural live on the ocean-facing wall of the hotel. Saturday November 9 is jam-packed with live mural painting and an open gallery from 10:00 am until late, with the secret event, The Infestation, open to the public at different times of the day. On Sunday November 10, attendees can enjoy live mural painting from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, an open gallery from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm plus an aerosol on canvas art class on the roof with Dusty.
