Paradise Valley – Mitch Gobel and Sally Mustang

Paradise Valley – Mitch Gobel and Sally Mustang

A self taught resin artist dedicated to producing unique art and donating some of his profits to his self founded charity MGRA Wildlife and Habitat Conservation, Mitch Gobel has found the perfect balance in doing what he loves and giving back to the community. His partner, Sally Mustang is an artist in her own right and is well known for her yoga and modelling pursuits. The substantial social media following the couple have proves them to be a partnership who inspire the masses.

Paradise Valley represents a really special time in Mitch and Sally’s relationship. It explores change, growth, hardship, adventure, nature and love. It reflects on their past year spent in Byron Bay and the transition into their new lives in Noosa.

All of the art in the exhibition is inspired by nature, specifically what they experienced while living in Byron Bay. Inspiration came from the mountains, rivers, jungle, beaches and the sea. Above all else, they hope that people will feel the emotion invested in the art as a result of those experiences. The ultimate aim is for people to see and feel the love in their art, that they felt through this period in their lives.

The six artworks that will feature in this exhibition took three months to create. Mitch builds each piece by hand from scratch, starting with picking the materials and building the base. He follows a structured and strict process when it comes to colours and proportions in order to get his desired effects. The artworks featured having been made from resin, look just like glass which is transparent or opaque by mixing through a range of colours.
