Level Up Studio + Gallery’s newest exhibition, Optimism, showcases the works of young, emerging local artists Sascha Bravery, Timothy Fry and Isaac Roxburgh. In this varied collection of works from three artists working in different studio practices, the everyday conversation with optimism is both explored and captured.

Through practice-led research, each artist took stock of the different scenarios they were presented – whether optimism was present during a work’s inception, intended in its conceptualism or hidden somewhere within the process, found through perseverance or in completed reflection. The result is a vivid collection of exciting and engaging works that utilise printmaking, painting, drawing and sculpture to capture the process of optimism.

The exhibition is open for viewing during gallery hours from August 8 to September 15. Members of the public are also invited to attend the exhibition opening night from 5:00–7:00 pm on Friday August 16 – email [email protected] to RSVP!
