Ring in 2022 with two spectacular fireworks displays at the Esplanade in Surfers Paradise! The first fireworks display will take place at 8:00 pm, with a second one at midnight.

Arrive early to enjoy a meal in one of the many Surfers Paradise restaurants.

Road Closures 
Please note The Esplanade, Surfers Paradise, between the Soul building roundabout and Hanlan Street roundabout will be closed on Friday December 31 from 6:00 pm to Saturday January 1 2022 at 4:00 am, for the purpose of the Surfers Paradise New Year’s Eve Fireworks.

Detours will be in place along Esplanade road via Staghorn Avenue and Clifford Street. Please follow signage and traffic controller’s direction on the evening.
