New Year’s Eve 2015 will be celebrated in luxurious style at Ristorante Fellini, where diners can indulge in a set six course degustation menu accompanied by a complimentary glass of sparkling on arrival.

Diners can relax in comfort and take in the festive ambience while they savour the six course menu and enjoy the best seats in town for the spectacular Broadwater Parklands fireworks display.

The team at the multi-award winning waterfront restaurant at Marina Mirage has been busy crafting a delectable six course menu of authentic Italian cuisine for diners to linger over while taking in the sweeping views of the marina and the Gold Coast skyline lit up at night.

Tastebuds will be tantalised by an appetiser of chilled watermelon soup with compressed pickled watermelon, baby basil and aged balsamic.

This will be followed by a tasty primo of carpaccio di pesce spada – thinly sliced swordfish with blood orange, shaved fennel, radish, red onion and parsley.

The culinary creations continue with a secondi of pancia di maiale – 15-hour slow cooked pork belly with fennel seed, garlic, sage and rosemary, cauliflower puree and reduced jus.

A sweet interlude will then freshen the palate, with a sorbettto of lemoncello and mint, followed by a choice with three selections on offer for mains:
• Salmone all griglia – grilled crispy skin Atlantic salmon, corn puree, sautéed baby spinach and extra virgin olive oil;
• Quaglia farcita – oven roasted partly de-boned quail, sage, pancetta, and onion stuffing served with a roasted farro and vegetable sauce; or
• Medaglione di vitello – rosemary, thyme and black pepper crusted veal tenderloin served with eggplant puree, truffled asparagus, demi glace and crisp prosciutto.

Just when you think it isn’t possible to fit in a morsel more, you will find that last spare corner of your tummy for dolce – semifreddo di cioccolato – chocolate semifreddo with a pistachio praline, fresh summer fruits and berries and a tuille biscuit.
