New Year’s Eve at The Star

Well 2020, it’s been a time. Let’s all collectively agree to put the weirdest/hardest year in recent history to bed and usher in a brand new year in spectacular fashion (because let’s be honest, if ever there was a year to be a total baller on New Years Eve this is it!). As always, The Star Gold Coast is dishing up a smorgasbord of things to see, do and devour, from pretty picnics on the lawn through to fine feasts and sophisticated soirees. NYE at Garden Kitchen & Bar
If fireworks, food and fun sound like your vibe for New Years, Garden Kitchen & Bar is the place to be! The expansive venue is serving up three very tempting options for partygoers this New Year’s Eve. Choose from an a la carte meal in the restaurant as part of the first seating from 5:00-7:00 pm, indulge in a set dinner menu and three-hour beverage package in the restaurant for the second seating from 8:00 pm to late (with access to the festivities on The Lawn), or savour a picnic and three-hour premium beverage package on The Lawn from 8:00 pm to late. The restaurant set menu will include delights such as wagyu beef carpaccio with foie gras vinaigrette, caper berries, grana padano and house-baked grissini, and dark chocolate tart with dulce pearls, cherry compote and espresso gelati, while the picnic package spans charcuterie, artisan cheese, Angus beef sliders and mini cheese kransky hot dogs. NYE at Cucina Vivo
For those craving an international flavour in their New Year’s Eve celebrations, Cucina Vivo will bring Italian cuisine to the party with two seatings. Enjoy a set menu and welcome glass of Prosecco from 6:00-8:00 pm or an expanded set menu with three-hour beverage package from 8:30 pm to late. Savour dishes like the San Danielle prosciutto with buffalo mozzarella, wood-grilled ciabatta and heirloom tomatoes, dry-aged Stanbroke sirloin on the bone with barbera jus and cipollini onions, and gingernut white chocolate cheesecake with sticky maple pear, Edelweiss chocolate and candied orange ice-cream. NYE at Kiyomi
Award-winning restaurant Kiyomi will also be playing host this New Year’s Eve, with two seatings available for a sumptuous set menu for two, created by visionary executive head chef Chase Kojima. Take a seat from 5:30 pm or from 8:30 pm (exact admission time to be confirmed by restaurant staff), and enjoy a glass of champagne on arrival before dining on dishes such as tuna tartare with pickled wasabi, yolk, nori and aged soy, spanner crab chawanmushi with pecorino and burnt butter, Kiwami wagyu 9+ striploin with Hatcho miso, shimeji and onion jus, and yuzu tart. NYE at Imperial at The Star
If you’re in the mood for Chinese cuisine, Imperial at The Star has you covered with both a la carte and banquet options for New Year’s Eve dinner. Join the first seating from 5:30-7:30 pm and choose your own foodie adventure from the a la carte menu, or bring a mighty appetite to the second seating from 7:45 pm to late, and feast on a Chinese banquet designed by executive chef of Asian cuisine, Song Yao Su. Be treated to a glass of champagne on arrival and a set banquet menu for two, including options such as salt and pepper silver fish with vegetable spring rolls, grilled diced steak and mushroom in black pepper sauce, and red bean custard with a special sesame ball. NYE at Nineteen at The Star
Alternatively, head up 19 levels to the casino rooftop for a celebration at Nineteen at The Star. This sought-after locale will turn it up with a six-course Sunset Seating from 6:00-8:00 pm or a seven-course Moonlight Seating from 8:30 pm to late in the restaurant, or spend the evening sipping beverages and relaxing in the bar. The specially curated menu will feature options like confit duck rillette with pickled fig, grilled Patagonian toothfish with toasted nori, and chocolate meringue pie with Pedro Ximenez ice-cream.
