Neon Remix at HOTA
Get set for a party, friends, because the ultimate realisation of our technicolour dreams is coming to HOTA! Explore Neon Remix, the fun and fresh outdoor party that will be lighting up the much-loved arts and culture precinct on November 6. Groove to a myriad of 80s tunes served up by some of the Gold Coast’s favourite local legends of the music scene – doused in a heavy dose of neon, of course.
Expect the collision of disco and post-punk, pop and new wave while you take in the sunset over the waterway. Neon Remix’s collective supergroup of musos includes Blair Condon (Miss Lucy), Mackenzie Brown (Miss Lucy), Matt McGuffie (Ivey), Ondre Davis (The Yams) and special guests including Millie Perks (Ivey), Tanisha Cook, Gemma Owens (The Oogars) and DENNIS. Spend your Saturday taking in classic tunes, from beats to ballads, including those from Talking Heads, Human League, Simple Minds, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran and more. Plus, you can check out the zany new installation that is Lost Dogs Disco, which features 16 giant and rainbow-hued inflatable dogs!
This show is presented by HOTA, Home of the Arts and proudly supported by City of Gold Coast and Southern Cross University.
