National Whale Day

National Whale Day

Launched in 2008 by IFAW, National Whale Day provides an opportunity to raise awareness of, and discuss solutions to, the threats facing whales and their environment.

Join us on Sunday 28th June for an all day celebration including live music, Sea Shepherd talks, art competition and a documentary viewing! Musicians performing on the day Akova, Julie Hayes, Purling Brook, Tony Niotakis and Music of Manoa. Stick around for a screening of Black Fish based on the story of Tilikum, a captive killer whale that has taken the lives of several people and underscores problems within the sea-park industry, man’s relationship to nature, and how little has been learned about these highly intelligent mammals.
