National Pyjama Day

National Pyjama Day

Save the date … the comfiest day of the year is coming!

National Pyjama Day is all about wearing your favourite pair of PJ’s to help The Pyjama Foundation raise much-needed awareness and funds for children in foster care.

With the money raised from National Pyjama Day, you’ll be helping us offer learning skills to more than a thousand children, fund educational resources and help provide stable, positive relationships.

The process is easy: simply register your interest to receive your free Pyjama Day host kit. Your host kit will be filled with everything you need to plan, promote and organise your event. Then set up your fundraising page, drum up some donations, and get to planning your event.

Events are totally flexible and can be run anytime throughout the months of July and August. You don’t even have to hold a physical event – once you’ve set up your fundraising page, the world is your oyster! Do something bold in your PJs and ask your friends to donate – it’s as easy at that!

Make sure you take some pics of your event and tag us using the hashtag #InMyPJs to be featured on our page and in our Annual Report!

There are more than 48,000 children in Foster Care in Australia. Many of these children have missed out on stable, positive and healthy family relationships and stable schooling. More than one quarter (25.6%) of children in care report having problems at school that they have been unable to get help with. The most common unresolved problem is with their schoolwork (43.6%). We need YOUR help to reduce these statistics.

And by supporting National Pyjama Day, you will be doing just that! Whether you’re wearing your tracky-dacks, jimmy-jams, onesies, snuggies, or ugg boots, we guarantee this will be your comfiest fundraising adventure yet!
