Park Lake State School is holding its first ever car boot sale to raise much-needed funds for My Friends’ Place. My Friends’ Place is a not-for-profit local organisation providing emergency accommodation for women and children escaping domestic violence. With four refuges and no government funding, this remarkable organisation is run entirely by volunteers and operates with the continued support and generosity of the community.

Proceeds from fundraising at the Car Boot Sale will be evenly shared between both My Friends’ Place and Park Lake State School P&C Association. It’s the people of the community that make all the magic happen, so it’s super important and appreciated.

The event will run from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday October 8 and there will be face painting, a coffee van, sausage sizzle and more. Buy tickets in the raffle to win three nights accommodation at any Classic Holidays managed resort, a very snazzy prize indeed.
