I will teach you the fundamental principles behind creating traditional Moroccan Patterns and guide you through the process using only a ruler and compass. This Workshop will focus on a traditional pattern found in Islamic Architecture across the world. Starting with a plain piece of paper, you will be guided step by step, drawing layers of lines and circles using a compass and straight edge. From this underlying grid a pattern will emerge.

After you have constructed this pattern, you are now ready to allow your mind the freedom to express. Watch as your individual personality comes to life by drawing lines, circles and arcs to make organically formed patterns and colours within the traditional Motif.
