Mini Beasts at Robina Town Centre

Robina Town Centre has announced it is bringing its September school holiday program forward by a month to keep the positive vibes rolling, delivering local families with a mesmerising exhibition and activity program that will set kids’ imaginations abuzz.

In line with Covid-19 regulations, Mini Beasts is back by popular demand after its dazzling debut in 2020, bringing with it the much-loved giant insect quartet, and dropping a brand-new entertainment series that will provide the perfect post-lockdown antidote for families needing a healthy dose of fun.

Coming in at a colossal four metres in size, the glittering creatures are brought to life through cutting-edge technology; bejewelled in thousands of tiny lights, colourful textiles and special effects to create a captivating spectacle and contactless experience throughout the centre for shoppers to admire and engage with.

The insect invasion comprises a shimmering Australian Swallowtail Butterfly hand-crafted with over 2800 lights, a Neon Cuckoo Bee that buzzes when activated by laser-powered sensors, a humming Cicada, and larger-than-life Australian Jumping Spider, each individually designed with customised light and sound technology.

Families can follow the interactive trail to discover the brilliantly-coloured quartet in key locations around Robina Town Centre, using special QR codes to not only track down the throng of flying beasts, but also collect a Mini Beast show bag once the journey is complete and go in the draw to win a $500 centre gift card.

For parents wishing for something a little more ‘hands on’ for the kids post-lockdown, we’ve got you covered too, with a fresh new Mini Beasts activity program also landing at the Centre from 21st September, coinciding with the launch of the spring school holidays.

From Build-A-Bot Workshops to a not-to-be-missed ‘Animal Encounters’ show hosted by Wild Rangers, and a Bug Wind Chime Decorating Workshop, entomologists of all ages are in for a real treat next month.

The insect-inspired activities will run for two jam-packed weeks before taking flight on October 3, with bookings encouraged ahead of time to ensure you don’t miss out on your preferred time slot, so be sure to stay tuned for a ticket release date via our website!
