The three series program includes some of the most beloved repertoires in the string quartet genre and this concert with Meta Weiss and Stewart Kelly is definitely no exception.

Featured in this unmissable event is the music of Beethoven with variations on ‘Welche Liebe Fuhlen’ from Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Janacek Fairytale, Chopin with Introduction and Grand Polonaise op. 3 and Franck with Sonata in A major for cello and piano.

Meta Weiss is one of the most talked about new talents in the Australian classical music scene, arriving here in 2015 direct from completing her doctorate at the Juilliard school in New York to take up a post as head of cello at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. Her career has already taken her to the world’s biggest stages including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington, Symphony Hall Boston, the Royal Albert Hall in London and many others.
