Melbourne Cup at Cucina Vivo

Melbourne Cup at Cucina Vivo

If your ideal Melbourne Cup day involves whiling away the afternoon with fine fare and a wine in hand at all times, Cucina Vivo at The Star is delivering the goods. The glamorous luncheon is luring punters with an exquisite five-course set-menu lunch accompanied by a delightful three-hour drinks package including a welcome beverage on arrival. Your feast will begin with a taste of freshly shucked oysters with chardonnay vinegar and finger lime caviar followed by wagyu bresaola with truffle pecorino, witlof, radicchio, pear and fig vin cotto. Next up will be campanelle pasta with Tweed River prawns followed by the main affair, the smoked Grimaud duck breast. Your Italian feast will be brought to a spectacular close with a Sapori D’Italia and variety of sweet bites. Because no true Italian feast is complete without wine, guests can enjoy a selection of Catalina Sounds sauvignon blanc and Corte Giara pinot grigio, T’Gallant ‘Cape Schank’ pinot noir and Triennes Provence rosé. Beer more your vibe? Sip Birra Moretti draught, James Squire One Fifty Lashes pale ale, Boags light or Peroni Leggera.

Keeping the good vibes flowing will be live entertainment, a Fashions off the Field showing and a special guest MC. Tickets to Cucina Vivo’s lavish Italian feast are $185 per person. Jump over here to book.
