Longest Night: Exploring the Winter Solstice Sky with Gold Coast Astronomy

A perfect opportunity for Stargazers to rug up and come join us to explore our Winter Night Sky on one of the longest nights of the year.

Let us discover all that is the Winter (Hibernal) Solstice as it pertains to the world of Astronomy. Why it occurs? What is its significance?

The night will include a guided tour and telescope viewing of all the visible wonders the Southern Celestial Hemisphere has to offer this June.

Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and soup will be provided throughout the night.

Gold Coast Astronomy ensures you memorialise your experience with a take home star chart of the night, summary of key visible celestial objects, and an opportunity to capture, with your mobile, your very own snaps through one of our telescopes.

Tickets will be available to purchase via EFTPOS on the night.

We look forward to you joining us and embarking on an educational and memorable night exploring our Galaxy and beyond…
