Life is Better in a Cape
As a child we dream of exploring far off places, of having super powers, rescuing civilians in peril, even saving the world. We dress up, do our best to look the part and create the image. A mix of oversized boots, a tea towel for a cape, goggles and kitchen gloves. We feel brave, strong and courageous. Nothing can stand in our way, we become fearless… It’s exciting and fun… Bursting with joy, a pride can be found in each of us.
Why as we get older do we forget how the simple things in life are what give us the most pleasure. Children remind us how much fun life should be. They remind us how easy it is to feel brave, strong and fearless… How we all do dream of exploring far off places and saving the world.
Andy Baker and “Bald Art” have put together an exhibition to remind us of the day dreaming we did as a child, to remind us of the child we have inside that screams “nothing can stand in my way!”
And remind us all that life is better in a cape
