KBF Launch Party – POSTPONED

This event has been postponed due to the impacts of COVID-19.
Logan’s first-ever cultural precinct opens in January and we’re inviting you to come and celebrate. The Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct will open on January 29 with a free community party. The entertainment line-up includes a host of local artists, culture, and spectacle, with the Logan community at the heart of it all.

Reflecting the incredible diversity of Logan we will be mixing it up with cultural and contemporary music, dance, visual and spoken word performances. The program opens with a Welcome to Country by Auntie Robin Williams followed by a Traditional Smoking Ceremony and Cultural Dance by the Nunukul Yuggera Aboriginal Dancers, and a host of other local Logan talent featuring: Imanzi Rwandan Cultural group, Heilani Productions, The Mammas Boy Collective, LUATÈ, MR.MR, 4114 collective, Te Tai Mauri and many more. See Chris Tamwoy with special guest Tania Rose Gibuma, live on the big stage!

You’ll be able to tuck into some tasty treats with a range of food trucks on-site for the event. Trains arrive and depart from Kingston Station located next to Kingston Butter Factory. Timetables are available on the TransLink website and by calling 13 12 30.
