Jobs Fair at Robina Town Centre


Local employment seekers are set to enjoy a five-day hiring blitz, when leading shopping, dining, entertainment and community destination Robina Town Centre launches its inaugural Jobs Fair on 2nd August, running daily until 6th August.

A brand-new initiative aimed at assisting job seekers and retailers alike, Robina Town Centre’s Jobs Fair will see hundreds of key positions up for grabs across a popular selection of stores in the lead up to the bumper Christmas retail period, as well as providing locals with job-ready workshops, training and interview opportunities to ensure every success in securing their ideal role.

The Jobs Fair will be hosted in the area outside Myer on Ground Floor and operate from 10am – 2pm daily. Participating retailers will open up 30-minute interview windows via an online booking portal for members of the community to reserve their preferred date and time to meet with recruiters and employers.

Almost 20 of the Centre’s retailers are set step up to the hiring plate as part of the recruitment drive, including popular home-grown and major global brands spanning fashion, hospitality, technology, entertainment and services, including H&M, Witchery, Lorna Jane, Optus, Event Cinemas, Grill’d and Schnitz, among others.

General Manager of Robina Town Centre, Kathleen Hart, said this week-long event would be a fantastic opportunity for Gold Coast job seekers to not only take advantage of a plethora of genuine employment opportunities in the dynamic retail industry, but also equip themselves with important job-ready skills for the future.

“As we head into the back half of the year, key shopping events like Black Friday and the extended Christmas trading period delivers a major boost in job opportunities for local employment seekers across the retail sector, from sales assistants to hospitality roles, casual though to management positions.

“Our inaugural Jobs Fair will provide a seamless and streamlined recruitment process for our community members and retailers alike, with stores looking to onboard staff and potential candidates looking to find a suitable position ahead of what promises to be a bumper period of trading – it’s a win-win,” she said.

And it’s not just casual Christmas positions that are up for grabs, with ongoing part-time and full-time roles expected to be filled as well.

For those job-seekers needing a professional new head-shot to accompany their resume or LinkedIn profile, a complimentary photography session will also be available for all attendees on Tuesday 2nd August.
