Japanese Food Fest

Japanese Food Fest

If you’re a sucker for sake and sushi and get ravenous at the very mention of ramen, you are definitely not going to want to miss the Japanese Food Fest. The culinary event is being hosted by the chef and owner of hidden dining gem Cocotte in Robina, Shunichi Tanabe, who has joined forces with Akira Takagi from MUSO Ramen and Gyoza Bar, Hibiki Ito from Itoshin Japanese Restaurant and Hiroyuki Okubo, the head sommelier from Paper Daisy Restaurant, among others to bring you a mouthwatering foodie festival.

The festival will be set up like a street market and there will be sushi, teppanyaki, karaage, pork-wrapped rice balls and of course plenty of Japanese wine and sake, beers, Umeshu and cocktails alongside demonstrations on a range of topics including how to make gyoza, sake appreciation, the art of Japanese barbecue and miso and koji.

Entry is $12 at the door, which includes one food dish and one drink, plus there will be plenty more available for purchase. Contact Cocotte on 07 5689 1366 for more information.
