Fans of the immensely popular Disney telemovie series, High School Musical, will be overjoyed to hear that Spotlight Theatre in Benowa are performing a stage production from February 20. The televised version launched the careers of Zach Efron and Vanessa Hudgens and now some local dramatic performers will be filling the roles of Troy and Gabriella.

Dealing with issues such as popularity, love and the value of friends and family, High School Musical is a wholesome theatrical event that will be relatable to all high school students and parents reminiscing on their scholarly youth. High School Musical will be running until March 14, but don’t be complacent, if the popularity of the original is any indication, tickets to the High School Musical stage show could be highly sought after.
