If you love beer, then chances are you’re already across the GABS Hottest 100 Craft Beer. For those who aren’t, let’s recap real quick – since starting in 2008, the GABS Hottest 100 people’s choice poll has become the beer equivalent of triple j’s Hottest 100 music countdown, or the Melbourne Cup in racing circles. In short, it’s a really big deal for beer lovers. The tally has revealed consumer trends and breweries shaping the Australian craft beer landscape.

Every year, beer-loving folks are asked to select their top five brews for the year, the results are tallied, and all is revealed at a live countdown on Saturday January 22. The day is celebrated in pubs and brewhouses all around the country with the results setting the beer world into overdrive. This year, Currumbin’s Balter HQ will be hosting the local countdown with food trucks, live music and, of course, a bunch of new beers.
